Coming from Finland I've learned from the very beginning to appreciate the pure and
practical lifestyle. In design this means continuous self-analyzing: questioning if the
object is truly needed and honesty to oneself in evaluting the project.

After my studies in Finland and Italy I gained experience working for Piero Lissoni
in his Milan office. I had a chance to assist in projects for clients like Cappellini,
Cassina IXC, Glas, Knoll and Thonet. Working for Piero I learned the importance
of discipline and refining in every step of the project and it was an experience I still
highly appreciate. As I was curious of the new scene in French design I moved from
Italy to France in the summer 2005. I ended up collaborating with Patrick Norguet's
Studio and got a chance to contribute for clients such as Silvera, Lapalma, Tod's,
Flaminia, Cappellini and Marithé + François Girbaud.

Since 2009 I've concentrated in my own work. As the constant change seems to be
the only permanent thing in life, it gives a good reason to continue finding solutions
suited for today's needs. What I especially love in design is the moment when form
starts taking its shape and the sensation of finding the right place for every piece in
the project. I hope I'm able to transmit this into my work by creating objects that
people enjoy using and having.
