Finnish designer, after graduating from Lahti Polytechnic in Finland she gained experience
working at Piero Lissoni's studio 'Lissoni Associati' in Milan, Italy from 2002 until 2005. From
Italy she moved to Paris, France aiming to broaden her vision in design. Collaborated with
Patrick Norguet's Studio in Paris from 2006 until the end of 2008. She launched her first own
collection at the 11th SaloneSatellite (Milan Furniture Fair 2008) with Aava design. At the
moment she lives and works in Paris, France.
In her work she mixes her 'Finnish heritage' with todays contemporary aesthetics. She likes
combining natural materials like wood with the new industrial ones and 'reinventing' old objects
and technics. Aims to find new approaches in everyday objects and to design with
consciousness of the changing world around us.
